Upcoming Launch - 14th March 2010
Monday, 01 March 2010 20:00
Preparing to launchRockets will be cracking-up the Queensland skies from about 8:00am until 12:30pm on Sunday 14th March .  Anyone who is interested in rockets and aero modeling is very welcome to come along to watch a wide variety of rockets in action; from small low-power model rockets right up to big fiberglass high-power rockets up to an altitude of 5,000 feet.

There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks available at the launch site to keep everyone fuelled for the whole morning.  There is no natural shade at the launch site, so please bring a hat and sunscreen even if it's cloudy.  Some insect repellant is also very handy.
Detailed directions for getting to the launch site can be found here.

If the weather turns rainy or windy we will not be able to launch.  If the weather looks doubtful, you can confirm whether the launch is proceeding by phoning 0412 650 682 any time after 7:00am on the day of the launch.

 The on-site 'Rocket Fuel Cafe'
IMPORTANT: We prefer that you do not bring any pet animals to the launch site as the sights and sounds of the rocket motors may scare some animals.  However, if you do, please keep them restrained at times (e.g. on a leash).
